2008 “Previous Residence” Pencil, Pen & Digital (click for detail)

his was an attempt to draw an old apartment from memory. I surprised myself with how many details I was able to remember during the process. I wish I had spent more time cleaning up the lines before I colored it though.
The living room originally had wood paneling & a wall of gold-veined mirror tiles. The application of oil-based primer in a room with one window was not a pleasant experience. It’s when the phrase “Kilz kills” was coined.

The scope of talent here was beyond my expectations I may consider the artist for future work on a series of childrens book that Iam interested in having illustrated. That wonderful little Boston terrier drawn on the bottom reminds me of one of my favorite dogs. Many kudos to the artist and also for the choice of of that wonderful younger age photo, took me back to 1979 or so.
